Contact image scanner

This optional feature is specifically designed to recognize bilingual (Arabic/Latin) barcodes, OCR and handwritten characters and it is only available on the Safir 40Ba model. Among its numerous benefits, this contact image scanner is capable of scanning at high 300 dpi resolution with 256-grey levels for precise image colour recognition

Special & automated functions

Special and automated functions have been developed on these three models of Safir 40 making it easier to run various kinds of applications at the counter level thus improving printer performance and customer service.

• Passbook handling on Safir 40Ba and Safir 40Ca models
• Barcode reader on Safir 40Ta model
• Auto alignment system that allows the operator/user to insert documents in any position and to eliminate skews before feeding the document
• Auto border system that optically detects the border of the inserted sheet guaranteeing operator-independent print accuracy
• Auto gap adjustment system (AGA) that detects media thickness via an optical reader that recognizes the set up from a manually marked instruction sheet before driving the print head to the right position.
